...Heavy Rainfall Will Move Across Southern Vermont Through The Evening Commute... At 300 PM EDT...Heavy Rainfall Was Just Entering Vermont...From New York...Between Southern Addison And Windham Counties. These Showers And Embedded Thunderstorms Will Contain Very Heavy Rainfall...With Rainfall Rates Approaching An Inch Per Hour. This Will Likely Continue Through 6 PM. Much Of Rutland...Windsor...Southern Addison And Orange County Will Likely Be Impacted By These Heavy Rains. Excessive Runoff From Heavy Rainfall Will Cause Elevated Levels On Small Creeks And Streams...And Ponding Of Water On Country And Urban Roads. Be Careful When Driving. Ponding Water On Roadways Can Create Dangerous Driving Conditions...And Heavy Rainfall Will Reduce Visibility.

A Line Of Slow-Moving Moderate To Heavy Showers Will Continue To Affect The Northern Adirondacks...Champlain Valley...Central Vermont...Northeast Kingdom And Into Southern Vermont This Afternoon. Additional Rainfall Amounts Through The Daylight Hours Will Range From About Half An Inch To One And A Half Inches...With Localized Higher Amounts Possible. Heavier Rainfall Will Cause Water To Pond On Roadways And Produce Rapid Rises On Small Streams And Creeks...Especially In Areas That Have Already Received Heavy Rainfall Last Night And This Morning.
