Vt. State Police - 10:25 am Mon Jun 23rd, 2014

On the morning of 06/23/14 the Vermont State Police in Middlesex received a report that there was a running truck located in the Waterbury reservoir located off Blush Hill Road in Waterbury.

Members of the Waterbury Fire Department first responded to the scene and located a 2008 Toyota Tacoma truck in the reservoir and running. Nobody was with the vehicle. State Police contacted the registered owner of the vehicle and determined that it was a company vehicle and had been stolen from Evergreen Gardens in Waterbury Center during night. The vehicle had to be towed from the reservoir.
Police responded to Evergreen Gardens for further investigation. It was determined that suspect(s) stole a small amount of change. It was additionally determined that a second business on the property was also broken into. Suspect(s) forcefully entered Green Mountain Ski and Furniture and stole a small amount of change.
