Rare snake gets some habitat help

Several Vermont agencies are partnering to help out a rare snake species. They're creating habitat near a truck weigh station on Interstate 91 in Guilford for North American racers, a black, non-venomous snake found in just a few towns in southeast Vermont.

The state Fish and Wildlife Department says racers are a threatened species in Vermont.
