Lake Champlain receding from record July levels

Officials say Lake Champlain is now receding from near-flood levels never before seen in the middle of the summer.

At the Lake Champlain Transportation docks in Vermont's largest city, some of the lanes cars use to board the ferries on the Vermont side of the lake are still under water.

Lake Champlain Ferry Assistant Operations Manager Margaret Campbell says the lake is at a level usually seen in the spring, but they're operating their ferries normally.
