Shooting/stabbing incident



Vt. State Police - 12:10 am Mon Jun 17th, 2013

On June 16, 2013 at approximately 19:30 hours the Vermont State Police received a 911 call reporting a shooting and stabbing that occurred at a residence on the John Corey Rd. in Danby VT.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks and the Pawlet Constable responded and located three adult subjects and two children at the residence. Two of the adults present (one male and one female) were injured and Wallingford Rescue, Manchester Rescue and Regional Rescue responded and transported these subjects to Rutland Regional Medical Center. The female suffered from stab wounds and the male from gunshot wounds. At the time of this release, both subjects are still being treated at the hospital and there is no information regarding their respective medical status at this time. State Police Detectives have been called in and are currently investigating this incident. This case is still an active investigation at this time and it is anticipated that further information will be released as the investigation progresses during the day of June 17, 2013.
