High court sides with Stowe developer

Town loses long battle over development, hotel A property developer has come out on top in a lengthy land-use dispute with the Stowe town government.

The Vermont Supreme Court last week ruled in favor of Stowe developer Jim Connacher in a battle over a housing proposal near the Stowe Country Club.

"We're just happy to move forward with it," said Stowe lawyer Hal Stevens, who represents Connacher.
