Raymond requests home release

A Morrisville grandmother, who was found incompetent to stand trial on a charge of giving a fatal overdose to her infant grandson, has asked to be electronically monitored at home instead of remaining in jail.

Pamela Raymond, 56, pleaded not guilty Oct. 25, 2010, to a charge of second-degree murder in the death of her four-month-old grandson, Warren Bailey, on Sept. 13, 2010.

Defense lawyer Marc D. Eagle made the request for her release from jail in Vermont Superior Court last week.
