State holds out hope for disaster funds

The decision last week by the Federal Emergency Management Agency that five structures at the Waterbury State Office Complex are "repairable" and not "destroyed" is a costly one for the state of Vermont, but not the final word on funding.

"It's a very, very specific part of the public assistance statute," said Dave Mace, a spokesperson for the agency in Vermont.
