In the coming week Capital City Concerts will be featured on a number of radio programs spotlighting our exciting upcoming "Perchance to Dream" orchestra concert on November 17.
Sunday, November 11, WCVT 101.7, 10:30AM: French hornist Donna Dolson, one of the featured soloists for "Perchance to Dream" will talk with Vermont Notes host Linda Radtke.
Tuesday, November 13, VPR Classical 11AM: CCC Artistic Director Karen Kevra will be the guest of VPR Classical host Walter Parker in the 11AM hour. They will discuss the upcoming Perchance to Dream orchestra concert and preview CCC's soon-to-be released CD from the February 2012 "Massively Mozart" concert which includes performances by clarinetist Daniel Gilbert, formerly of the Cleveland Orchestra, who returns as soloist for "Perchance to Dream".
Thursday, November 15, VPR: Weekly Conversation On The Arts: Neal Charnoff will interview Artistic Director Karen Kevra at 4:50PM. Afterward the segment will be available at www.vpr.net.
The RECAP: Capital City Concerts presents "Perchance to Dream" orchestra concert on Saturday, November 17, 7:30PM at Saint Augustine Church in Montpelier. The program includes Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, Mendelssohn's Scherzo from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Wagner's Seigfried Idyll, Ravel's Introduction and Allegro, and Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante, K297b. The members of this 26 piece professional orchestra hail from the Cleveland Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Mostly Mozart, and NYC Ballet Orchestra.
