An AARP driver-safety class that is free of charge to all military veterans - active and retired - and their immediate family members will be offered Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Copley Hospital in Morrisville. |
The program is designed to help drivers age 50 and older improve their driving skills.
The course will teach proven safety strategies that will help you maintain confidence while behind the wheel. In addition, refresher tips on maintaining proper distance, limited driver distractions and proper use of safety mechanics will be covered. Depending on your automobile insurance carrier, you may be eligible to receive a discount.
AARP-trained volunteer Dave Peters of Elmore will teach the class.
If you cannot make the class at Copley, an online course through AARP also is being offered to military personnel at a special price. Registration, information: Wellness Center, 888-8369; copleyvt.org/Community&WellnessResources
