Stowe Reporter - 1:06 pm Fri Nov 9th, 2012

A Jeffersonville woman escaped injury when she fell asleep while driving on Route 15 in Underhill, and her 1999 Subaru was demolished when it hit a guardrail.

Jennifer Johnson, 29, told Vermont State Police she fell asleep Nov. 6 at 1:30 a.m. and crashed.

Police said Johnson was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, careless and negligent driving, driving after license suspension, driving without liability insurance, and failure to stay in the road's travel lane.

She's due in Chittenden Superior Court Jan. 8.
