High Fives event raises almost $10,000

An event called High Fives on Tap, held at the Alchemist Brewery in Waterbury, raised almost $10,000 for the High Fives Foundation.

The event was held Oct. 28; a silent auction raised more than $5,000, and a a one-item live auction for a custom skateboard from Warren Pieces raised $500.

More than 200 people sampled the Alchemist's Heady Topper beer, Sean Lawson's beer, Cabot Cheese, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, barbecue from Local Folk Smokehouse, and Vermont Artisan Coffee.
