Welch reflects on mood in Washington

Waterbury Record - 11:22 am Fri Oct 19th, 2012

"Restraint is a quality we need more of, frankly," U.S. Rep. Peter Welch, D-Vt., said of national politics during an interview with the Waterbury Record this week.

Welch, 65, who lives in Hartland, has been Vermont's lone congressman since 2006, serving through one of the most tumultuous and toxic periods of national politics in recent memory.

On Nov. 6, he faces Republican Mark Donka in a bid for re-election.
