Jackson Opens This Month!  

Sharpen your skates and dig out your hockey gear! Jackson will be back in action before you know it! The arena is scheduled to open on Monday, October 23rd  with public skating and stick time! For up-to-date information, please call (802)253-6148 and watch for the skate schedule every month in our e-newsletters!

CANDY DROP!  

Hundreds of little ghosts and goblins visit Main Street in downtown Stowe every Halloween! Local residents need your help stocking their trick-or-treat supplies! Last year we collected almost 150 bags of candy and distributed to over 30 households!

The last day to "drop" will be Thursday, October 30th.

Kids Night Out

Friday,  October 21st

6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Take some time for yourself while your kiddos enjoy an evening with friends playing their favorite games! Medic, foosball, air hockey, arts & crafts, movie, ice skating, snack, outdoor play and much more!

October Vacation Camp

Plan ahead for a days off from school!

Hockey Programs 

Whether you're a seasoned vet or just starting out, there are hockey programs just for you at the Jackson Arena.  Co-ed Clubs on Tuesdays &Thursdays 8:00-9:30  a.m. and Sundays 5:30-7:00 p.m. Beginner Hockey on Mondays 7:15-8:15 a.m.  Men’s, Woman’s and Youth leagues too!

CLP After School Program Instructor
Seeking a creative and energetic instructor to lead our after school program Monday-Friday, 2:30-5:30PM. The position is part-time (about 15-20hrs a week) with competitive pay between $11-15/hr depending on experience. Qualified applicants should have experience working with children ages 5-11 and have a good understanding of their developmental needs. We're looking for a self-starter who can design and implement fun hands-on activities involving science, music, cooking, crafts, outdoors, fitness and more!

This position may also offer opportunities to assist with monthly and annual recreation events as requested by the Program Director.

This would be a wonderful position for an ambitious, responsible high school senior! Great on a resume.

Recreation Special Staff

Seeking a charismatic and enthusiastic applicants specifically to participate in the implementation of special activities, functions and events weekly/month and or annually run by the Parks & Recreation Department. The job entails all of the duties associated with providing a positive Recreational experience for each participant from a diverse population of the greater community.   The position is part-time, irregular and hours vary based on the programs and activities.   Competitive pay between $8.50-13/hr depending on experience. Qualified applicants should have experience working under the direction of others and enjoy being in the company of all types of populations.

This position may also offer opportunities to assist with other programs as requested by the Program Director.

This would be a wonderful position for all a community members looking for a little extra pocket money.

ADULT PICK-UP SPORTS 

Does indoor soccer, volleyball, or field hockey interest you? Have fun and stay in shape this winter with adult pick-up sports!

Location: Stowe Elementary School Gym

Cost: First game free, then $2.00 per night or $20.00 to play thru the end of December.

6:30-8:30PM Monday: Co-ed  Pick-up Basketball: Beginning Oct. 8th

We're always looking for volunteers to help lead Pick-Up on week nights. Choose your favorite sport and we'll set you up with equipment and help recruit players! If you're ready to kick off a new league get in touch with us!

Red Cross Babysitter Course and Pediatric CPR Course

Become the best babysitter on the block with the American Red Cross! Training will provide skills important to the safe and responsible care of children when parents are out of the house. Whether you're a budding babysitter professional or a big brother/sister, learning these skills can keep everyone safe when mom and dad are gone! Add CPR to your babysitter certification!
