Lumberyard set for farm property

A plan to move a building-supplies company and lumberyard to the former state farm property in Duxbury has received the last of several state permits it needs.

Earlier this month, the District Environmental Commission approved Steve Noyes' application to renovate seven of the original farm buildings for a hardware store and office space, and to build a new storage building for lumber.

Noyes owns the East Montpelier Home Center and Noyes and Noyes Building Supplies in Waterbury, off Route 2.
