Champlain Valley Kennel Club Invites Dog Lovers To A Weekend Of All Breed Dog Shows, Obedience And Rally Trials, Oct. 6 & 7, 2012

Champlain Valley Kennel Club is delighted to welcome spectators back on Oct. 6 & 7, 2012 - 9AM - 5PM to the only weekend of AKC All Breed Dog Shows in Northern Vermont.

The event will bring exhibitors from over 35 States and Canada with 100+ breeds competing in Conformation, Obedience and Rally. Watch dogs compete for Best In Show and High In Trial. Spectators can interact with the dogs and handlers as well as browse between many unique dog-related concessions. Come shop, meet breeds and breeders and see some of the nation's finest dogs in competition. All events are indoors at the Miller Expo Centre, Champlain Valley Exposition, Pearl St. in Essex Junction. Nominal admission charge and free parking. Please leave pets at home, non-entered dogs will not be allowed in to the show area.

Meet the Rare Breeds: 11am-2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Owners and breeders will be available to introduce their dogs and answer questions

Meet the Author and Book Signing: Dr. Steven Metz will be available to sing his new book Exotic Tales

Seminar: Pluis Davern from the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation is and AKC judge and Trainer of the Year. She will be presenting Saturday night at 7pm at the expo. Tickets are $10 with 50% of sales going to the Search Dog Foundation.

Obedience - The Burlington Obedience Training Club will hold a 10 minutes for $10.00 obedience practice

Saturday October 6 & Sunday October 7 2012
- 100+ purebred breeds will compete in breed competition, progress to one of the 7 groups and work toward Best in Show each day

Obedience and Rally - mixed-breed and purebred dogs entered in the AKC Canine Partners Program compete in the ring
