Swimmer rescued at Bolton Pot Holes

Waterbury Record - 11:42 am Fri Aug 3rd, 2012

A swimmer was fished safely out of the Bolton Pot Holes in Bolton just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24.

Scott Posner, 21, of South Burlington had jumped into the water at the popular swimming hole, then realized the water was so turbulent, he was unable to swim in it.

Posner's girlfriend, Alexandra Smith, immediately called 911, and emergency responders from the Bolton and Richmond fire departments arrived within eight minutes.

By that time, torrential rain was moving into the area, complicating the rescue.
