Flood aid on way to Lamoille County

Mud-soaked cars. Roads ripped apart. Debris everywhere. This has been a brutal spring in Vermont, with millions of dollars in damage caused by floods in late April and May.

But local businesses and homeowners affected by late April's flooding got a big shot in the arm last week, when federal officials and President Obama announced that much of the state, including Lamoille County, has been declared a disaster area.
