Gardeners with physical limitations are sought

Stowe Reporter - 3:33 pm Thu Jun 2nd, 2011

To make gardening easier for people with disabilities, local organizations are working together to provide raised beds at the Community Garden located at the Oxbow in Morrisville.

Organizers are hoping to give people with physical limitations the opportunity to enjoy the many benefits of gardening - stress relief, socialization, relaxation, and a boost to self-esteem.

The program is sponsored by the Vermont Center for Independent Living's Agrability program, the United Way of Lamoille County, and RSVP and the Volunteer Center.
