Bristol dominates Vermont 19-2 Montpelier Vermont

The Bristol Collegiate Baseball Club cruised past the Vermont Mountaineers by a score of 19-2 on Sunday night at Muzzy Field in New England Collegiate Baseball action.

Bristol batted around in the bottom of the fifth inning, and put up 12 runs to hand Vermont their second straight loss of the week.

Bristol jumped to a quick 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first off Vermont starter Cole Johnson, after an RBI single from Mike Olszyk brought home Stephen Maier from third.

Johnson then issued a base loaded walk in the bottom of the second for Bristol's second run of the night, as Eric Fredette picked up the RBI.

Vermont was held scoreless until the sixth inning, before Zack Babbit picked up an RBI single.

Bristol added to their lead in the late innings, and walked away with the 19-2 victory.

Matt Carasiti picked up his second win of the season, while Johnson is registered with the loss.

Bristol moves to 10-4 on the season, and Vermont falls to 7-10.
