Finally: Voters Approve Fire Stations

Three years of effort finally paid off when Waterbury voters approved replacement of aging fire stations in the town and village.

"Finally," said Sally Dillon of the Waterbury Fire Department after the results were tallied late Wednesday, May 5. Residents voted 668-211 to approve the $3.25 million project that will put new fire stations on the existing sites - on Main Street in the village and Maple Street in the town. DEW of Williston has been chosen to build the stations.
