Vermont's Baroque band
MONTPELIER - Arc'angelo, Vermont's Baroque band, will perform German Baroque masterworks of Bach, Rosenmuller Telemann, Buxtehude and Handel:

- Saturday: Rutland - IHC Catholic Church, 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday: Montpelier - Unitarian Church, 3 p.m.
While the organ has been called the "king of instruments" in Germany during the late 17th and early 18th centuries, the violin was already the ever-present ruling instrument throughout Baroque Europe. Arc'angelo will present a program of masterpieces of this era. Founding violinist Kevin Bushee and organist Lynette Combs will be joined by guest artists: Robert Seletsky, violin; and Lisa Nielsen, viola da gamba and cello.
