On April 3rd, 2010 at approximately 0109 hours a call was made to 911 of a reported fire on Annis Brook Road in Barton. The Barton Fire Department responded and found the structure fully engulfed and mostly consumed by fire.

The Barton Fire Department requested assistance from the Orleans, Irsburg and Glover Fire Departments. The departments worked on putty out the nearby woods that had started on fire from the camp. The camp was considered a total loss.
It was learned the camp was vacant and had no electric power or heat. The Barton Fire Chief called the Vermont Fire Unit for an origin and cause investigation. A member of the Vermont State Police Fire Unit responded to the scene on April 6, 2010 to investigate.
The investigation showed the cause of this fire to be undetermined, suspicious. There were no reported injuries.
