Animal Cruelty, Aggravated Animal Cruelty

The Vermont State Police is looking for any information the public may have regarding a recent animal cruelty incident that happened in the Groton State Forest.

On March 27, 2010 State Police responded to the Lake Groton Overlook on the Groton State Forest Road in Groton to investigate a dog that had been shot dead and dumped in the woods adjacent to the parking area. The dog was identified as 'Taiga', a Siberian husky that had gone missing from Westgate Lane in Newbury, VT on March 19, 2010. Anyone who has any information regarding the shooting or illegal dumping of Taiga is encouraged to contact Trooper Dion at the State Police barracks in Bradford.
