Sen. Doyle Survives Moose Collision on Rt. 12

A nasty run-in with a moose late Monday night didn't keep the dean of the Vermont Senate from performing his elected duties Tuesday.

Sen. Bill Doyle, the 83-year-old Washington County Republican, suffered cuts on his face and hands when the car he was riding in struck a moose. Despite injuries that required 11 stitches to his hands and face and a 2 a.m. discharge from Copley Hospital in Morrisville, the lawmaker was back under the Golden Dome by 7:30 a.m.
