Town-Village Friction has Resurfaced

It's been almost two years since Waterbury voters rejected a proposal to merge their town and village governments.

And now, as both governments work on budgets to present on Town Meeting Day, who pays the bills remains an issue. For instance, village officials think the town should be paying $4,200 a year to store highway supplies on village land.
