Matthew Pelletier, Francis O'Connor - Motor Vehicle Accident

No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident on the Marshall Newland Road in East Burke during the morning hours of 12/15/2009.

Francis O'Connor was operating a bucket truck owned by Fairpoint Communications and had gotten stuck in the snow bank while attempted to access a telephone pole to complete some repair work. Matthew Pelletier was traveling south on the Marshall Newland Road and crested a small knoll when he observed the truck off the road ahead. Mr. Pelletier attempted to apply the brakes but began to slide down the grade. His vehicle ended up sliding into the back of the Fairpoint truck. Road conditions were a factor in the accident.
