Gymnastics - Harwood 122.4, Middlebury 108.6

Times Argus - 12:52 pm Wed Dec 16th, 2009

Kara Lynch and Shannon Aronson both turned in dynamite all-around performances to guide the Harwood gymnastics teams to Tuesday's 122.4-108.6 victory over Middlebury.

"Shannon and Kara both led the way for us really well," Highlander coach Anissa Touchette said. "We have a pretty young team this year, so I'm really proud of how quickly the girls are coming along."

Middlebury's Rosalie Wright-Lapin took the top all-around honors with 32 points. She was followed closely by Aronson (31.2) and Lynch (30.8).

Harwood's Lindsay Johnson placed first in the bars event, while teammate Maryah Magee wound up third. Fellow Highlander placed second on the beam

The Highlanders will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Williston to take on Champlain Valley Union.
