Engineers Awarded Stimulus Projects Waterbury Vermont

Weston & Sampson, a Waterbury-based environmental engineering firm, assisted nine Vermont communities with stimulus projects during this past year.

Work for these communities involved engineering design, bidding to obtain contractors that will construct the upgrades, and construction engineering services to provide quality control during construction to protect taxpayers' valuable investment.

With this year's federal stimulus package, Vermont was fortunate to receive millions of dollars to put toward offsetting the heavy municipal burden of repairing aged public infrastructure, including water and wastewater systems. Repairs to the state's modest sized communities' systems typically require millions of dollars each decade.
