Stowe Nordic skiers turned in some excellent results at the Craftsbury 50k and 25k races this past Saturday.

In the 50k, Trina Hosmer placed fifth among the 45 women completing the distance.

The other Stowe area women - Diane Halvorsen, Moira Durnin, Carol Van Dyke and Carrie Nourjian - placed 17, 19, 21 and 22 respectively overall. With high age-group finishes, the SNOC members contributed valuable points in the New England Nordic Ski Association's club competition.

Eric Eley of Stowe had a great race, placing 10th overall among the 169 men finishers, against much stiffer competition than at the previous week's 30k in Jackson. Nat Goodhue and Dave Hosmer also contributed points for SNOC.
