Commercial Motor Vehicle accident

Vt. State Police - 12:10 am Mon Dec 4th, 2006

On 11-30-06 Yakubu Bukar a Canadian truck driver lost control of his Tractor Trailer unit just north of the Williston rest area on I-89.

Mr Bukars truck left the interstate and traveled into a near by gully where it had to be removed with the use of 2 tow trucks. The interstate at this location was closed for a short period while the vehicle was moved back onto the roadway and then towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported in this incident. The Tractor trailer unit sustained some damage and had to be towed from the scene. The driver was issued a Traffic complaint for failure to maintain control.
