Barbara A Garfield - Vehicle Fire

Garfield's Volvo caught on fire while traveling on Rt 89.

Garfield was traveling south on Interstate 89 when she and her two passengers noted the vehicle loosing power. Upon approaching Mile Marker 67 in the town of Bolton, Garfield pulled over to the side of the roadway and immediately noted smoke coming from under the hood.

Garfield and her two passengers immediately exited out of the vehicle as the vehicle became engulfed in flames.

Interstate 89 southbound was temporarily shut down to allow Bolton Fire Department and Rescue to work freely and extinguished the fire. Traffic was later reduced to one lane while the vehicle was removed from the scene. Upon removal of the vehicle, the Interstate was reopened without further delay.

Garfield and her passengers were released from the scene without any injuries. The vehicle was a total loss.
