Vt. State Police - 2:55 pm Mon Nov 13th, 2006
An operator traveling north on Interstate 89 from the
exit 6 area reported the erratic operation by a male driving a black Lexis.
The complaint followed the vehicle off the Interstate and observed until police arrived. The Middlesex State Police located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Maplewood Mobil station at 213 Paine Turnpike North Berlin, VT and identified the operator as Douglas Pierre Desjardins, 59, of Cambridge, VT. A DUI investigation was conducted, and Desjardins was subsequently arrested under the suspicion of DUI and Driving While License Suspended -Criminal.
Desjardins was transported to the Dale Facility in Waterbury, VT for detox and cited for the Barre Courthouse for December 2006.
