Armed Robbery

Vt. State Police - 9:25 pm Sat Nov 11th, 2006

The Vermont State Police along with officers from the Washington County Sheriff's Department, Barre City Police Department and Montpelier Police Depar

tment responded to the Moretown General Store in Moretown to investigate an armed robbery which was occuring there. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a red bandana across his mouth had enterred the store presenting himself to the cashier, brandishing a handgun and ordered the cashier to turn over money in the register.
The subject fled the store on foot into a wooded area on the west side of Route 100b in Moretown. A K9 officer was called to the scene to conduct a track. No shots were fired and noone was injured in this incident. The subject made off with an undetermined amount of cash.
The subject was described as a white male in his 20's, 5'9 -5'10, approximately 160 lbs., slender build, black hoodie with a white t-shirt over the top, dark jeans and white sneakers.
