During the night of 10/24/2006, members of the Vermont State Police in New Haven investigated two separate, one vehicle crashes. Both crashes resulted in the operator being charged with Driving Under the Influence.

During the night of 10/24/2006, members of the Vermont State Police in New Haven investigated two separate, one vehicle crashes. Both crashes resulted in the operator being charged with Driving Under the Influence.

At appx. 1804 hours on 10/24/06, Elizabeth P. Wilder (age 67) of Middlebury, Vt crashed her vehicle off the east side of US 7 in the area of Lime Kiln Road in New Haven, Vt. Wilder traveled several hundred feet off the roadway, and across several driveways before colliding with a parked vehicle in a driveway. She was arrested for DUI and Careless and Negligent Operation.

At appx. 2248 hours on 10/24/06, Benjamin M. Richmond (age 26) of Charlotte, Vt crashed his vehicle on Little Chicago Road at Depot Road in Ferrisburgh. This single car crash resulted in residents loosing power in the area for several hours. He sustained minor injuries and was arrested for DUI.

In the last 10 days, the Troopers at VSP New Haven have made over 10 arrests related to individuals driving under the influence.
