The Community College of Vermont is one of five Vermont State Colleges and has been accredited since 1975 by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We provide quality, affordable education to over 9,000 students each year.

CCV does not have a central campus with housing facilities. Instead we serve students where they live and work, at 12 learning centers around the state and via the Internet.

CCV is an open-admissions college. Our students range in age from 14 to 78. They enroll for a single course or full-time study, choosing a pace that works for them.

Our academic year
CCV offers about 1000 courses each fall and spring and 400 in the summer. Fall courses start in early September, spring in late January, and summer in late May.

Registration is open for several weeks prior to the start of each semester. CCV's Course Schedule is published each semester and contains descriptions, times and locations for all courses. The Course Schedule is available online for spring 2010, or a printed copy can be mailed on request.

What we offer
Founded in 1970, CCV is known for its focus on student learning and its expertise in working with adult students.

We offer associate degrees, career-related certificates, and credit and non-credit training programs. Our curriculum includes liberal arts, business, human services, technology, and allied health.
