The Revitalizing Waterbury (RW) board of directors has canceled the 19th annual Waterbury Arts Fest, originally scheduled to take place July 10-11, 2020, in Waterbury. This summertime event is a major fundraiser for Revitalizing Waterbury.
Revitalizing Waterbury to host public art celebration

The Revitalizing Waterbury and the Rotary Club of Waterbury organizations are excited to announce the formal celebration of the recently installed public art piece in Waterbury: The Waterbury Special. The Waterbury Special is a low relief aluminum sculpture created by Randolph artist Phillip Godenschwager.
Train art takes to the trestle next week

By the afternoon of Aug. 26, the train bridge overlooking Waterbury's Main Street will have a new look. Late last year, more than 800 Waterbury residents voted on the artwork they'd like to see on that bridge, and chose the work of Phillip Godenschwager, an artist from Randolph, who designed a series of 10 sculptures to place along the bridge.

Time to Vote for Train Art

Two finalists have been selected for a townwide vote on the artwork that will be installed on the railroad bridge at the entrance of Waterbury village. Voting will open Nov. 4 and close Nov. 17.


Revitalizing Waterbury (RW), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a nationally-accredited Main Street Program and serves as one of Vermont's 24 Designated Downtowns.

Since 1991, RW's mission has been to preserve and enhance the economic, historic and social vitality of downtown Waterbury, Vermont. With over 250 individual and business members, RW strives to create and maintain a vibrant community that is inviting, safe, economically sound, lively and livable.
