Vt. State Police - 7:55 pm Sat Oct 5th, 2019

On October 5th 2019, at approximately 1040 hours, Troopers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Tinmouth Rd in the Town of Danby.

Upon arrival, Troopers determined a vehicle being operated by Jennifer Redding had gone off the road and struck several small trees before coming to a stop. Witnesses described the vehicle operating erratically for a short time just prior to leaving the roadway. There was minimal damage to the vehicle. First responders found Redding unconscious and not breathing in the driver seat. She appeared to have sustained no injuries during the crash.
Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful and she was pronounced deceased on the scene. Detectives were called the scene and determined that Redding suffered from an apparent sudden medical event which caused her to drive off of the roadway. The Vermont State Police are continuing to investigate. Redding was sent the Medical Examiner's Office in Burlington for autopsy to determine her cause of death. Alcohol or substance abuse is not suspected.
