Shooting investigation in Goshen



Vt. State Police - 9:55 am Sun Aug 19th, 2018

At about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, the Vermont State Police were notified of a shooting at a home on South Hill Road in the town of Goshen.

Other individuals at the residence provided aid to the victim, a 28-year-old man, and brought him to the Rutland area. He was met by rescue personnel and transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a non life-threatening injury and released.

At the residence, investigators took a 49-year old man into custody in connection with the incident. Charges against the individual are pending.

Investigation indicates the shooting was not random, and there is no threat to the public. The names of those involved are being withheld at this time pending further investigation.

Additional information is expected to be released later today.
