Yoga with Pranayama Waterbury Vermont


Yoga with Pranayama, a 6-week series with Kristen Niemi begins July 17th and runs until August 28th on Tuesday evenings from 6-7 pm in the Waterbury Library's SAL room. (No class on August 7th.) What is Pranayama? Simply put, it is the formal practice of controlling the breath or prana, the life force. Both the breathing exercises and the yoga poses will start simply and build to more challenging poses as the series advances. The body strengthens from the poses, as does the respiratory system from the breathing exercises. In combination, the whole body strengthens and revitalizes. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies and do what feels right to them. Bring a yoga mat, cushion, or pillow to sit on, and a water bottle. Class is limited to 12 participants.

For those that complete the entire 6-week series, Kristen offers a free Craniosacral treatment.
