On 6/2/20, at approximately 1600 hours, Vermont State Police along with Troy Fire Department and Missisquoi Valley Ambulance, responded to a residence on Bonneau Rd for a farming accident.

On June 1, 2020 at approximately 12:56 PM, Orleans Fire Department responded to 1523 Evansville Rd for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a mobile home house trailer that was fully engulfed.

On 05/31/2020 it was reported to the Vermont State Police that Sara Hall was in violation of her conditions of release. Investigations revealed Hall had contacted violated her conditions of release by contacting a complainant and was cited.

On the above date and time the Vermont State Police received a report of an ATV crash on Fish and Game Road in Derby. Investigation revealed the ATV overturned on a downhill slope when the operator turned the handlebars sharply.
Located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, the Derby Barracks provides police coverage throughout Essex and Orleans Counties. We provide primary law enforcement services for the towns of Albany, Averill, Averys Gore, Barton, Bloomfield, Brighton, Brunswick, Brownington, Canaan, Charleston, Coventry, Craftsbury, Derby, Ferdinand, Glover, Greensboro, Holland, Irasburg, Jay, Lemington, Lewis, Lowell, Maidstone, Morgan, Newport Town, Norton,Troy, Warners Grant, Warren Gore, Westfield, and Westmore. We also provide assistance as requested to the United States Border Patrol, US Customs, Newport, Brighton and Canaan Police Departments and both Essex and Orleans County Sheriff's Departments. The Derby Barracks patrols 25.25 miles of Interstate 91 as well as state and local roads within Essex and Orleans County.
The Derby Station area encompasses half of the Canada/Quebec-U.S./ Vermont Border and is responsible for an integral part of the Vermont State Police's Homeland Security mission. The Derby Station Troopers work with other agencies on a daily basis, such as the U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, to insure our citizens are protected from foreign and domestic terrorism.
