Festival of Fools starts this weekend and it's bigger than ever!
 
 
 
 

More than 100 performances

will fill City Hall Park, Main Street, and Church Street Marketplace.
 

Let's plan your weekend together!


Over the next few days, we will share details about
the many different events and performers.

 
Today,we are sharing our master schedule and links to all of the ticketed events. Don't delay, these shows will sell out! 

On Wednesday, we'll focus on all of the FREE kid-friendly activities. Festival of Fools is fun for the whole family.

It's all about the music. Thursday, we will share all of the great musicians and their weekend performances. This includes the Block of Fools Party!

Then on Friday, you'll learn more about our street performers before you venture onto Church Street Marketplace. Internationally known buskers, musicians, and comedians will be featured all weekend.
You'll want to see them all!
 

Friday, August 4


8:30-3:30 p.m.
School of Foolery
Learn the art of foolery from highly skilled performers in City Hall Park. Made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. 
Free • Registration is encouraged. Ages 8-14, limited to 12. Click here.
 
Noon-10 p.m.
Busking on Church Street
Join our street performers all along Church Street for a day of busking.
Free (tips are encouraged and appreciated)

3 p.m.
School of Foolery Performance
Participants from the School of Foolery perform at the Top Block on Church Street. 
Free 

4 p.m.
Music Begins at Red Square/Hendrick’s Pitch
Join us for live music all evening by Andriana Chobot Trio,
Adwela And The Uprising, Dj Craig Mitchell, and Dj Kermitt
Free

5:30 p.m.
Foolish Parade on Church Street
Starts at Church and Pearl and goes to Main Street. All are encouraged to join in or watch from the sidelines. The parade will include all of the weekend performers.

Mayoral Proclamation
Join Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger on the steps of City Hall.

Block of Fools Street Party on Main Street
The best party all summer will feature live music, street performances,
food trucks and cash bars.  Join us as we shut down Main Street.
Free fun for the whole family!

Brody Stevens at Vermont Comedy Club/Sam Adam’s Pitch
