Cameras considered at Rusty Parker Park

Rotarians concerned with vandalism, damage during events
The cameras could be rolling at summer concerts sponsored by the Waterbury Rotary Club at Rusty Parker Park.

But the video equipment won't be there to record the performances. Rather, it's for security - a way to find out which young people have wreaked havoc over the years on the park's benches, turning them into skateboard ramps, according to Rotary officials.

The concerns were expressed to the village trustees at a meeting last week. Rotary officials plan to add two concerts this summer, upping the shows from 11 to 13. With the expansion may come some concerns, they said.
