Dr. Kelly Rohan will present the next Lamoille Valley Osher Lifelong Learning Institute lecture, "Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Symptoms, Causes, Treatments, and New Research on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy," on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Town and Country Resort, 876 Mountain Road, Stowe. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the lecture begins promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Dr. Rohan, a professor of psychological science at the University of Vermont, directs the clinical psychology graduate program and specializes in research on adult depression, including SAD. She will discuss new research from her National Institute of Mental Health grant-funded clinical trial, comparing cognitive-behavioral therapy and light therapy.

This lecture is the second of nine in the winter 2016 series. On Wednesday, Jan. 25, Margaret Fowle will present "Bald Eagle and Peregrine Falcon Recovery in Vermont."
