A second man has been charged with manslaughter and other crimes after police said he originally stole the gun that killed 19-year-old Daniel Hein of Poultney.

Jonathan Testa, 21, of Poultney, pleaded not guilty to five felony charges - manslaughter, assault and robbery with injury, aggravated assault, false personation and burglary - and three misdemeanors, one count of possession of stolen property and two counts of petty larceny. He was ordered held on $100,000 bail.

Vermont State Police said Testa - who allegedly stole the gun last month during a Fair Haven burglary - attempted to flee after the Hein shooting last weekend, using a credit card he stole from Hein's sister-in-law.
