Man Assaults Family Member Then Leaves Drunk St Johnsbury Vermont

On the evening of May 25, 2016, State Police were dispatch to a report of a domestic assault that occurred at a residence located on Avenue A in the town of St. Johnsbury, VT.

Investigation revealed that Joshua Holycross (37) assaulted a household/family member and left the residence in his vehicle.

It was also reported to State Police that Holycross had consumed alcohol this evening and was under the influence. State Police later located Holycross in St. Johnsbury Village.

Investigation revealed that Holycross was under the influence of alcohol. Holycross agreed to provide a preliminary sample of his breath which revealed a Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) of .134%. Subsequently, Holycross was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and suspicion of DUI.

Holycross was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $500.00 bail. Holycross is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Criminal Court on 5-26-16.
