Gun control bills fail in Vermont -

In the ongoing battle over gun rights in Vermont, the 2016 legislative session will be remembered as another loss for gun grabbers.

After universal background checks failed dramatically in 2015, gun control groups introduced about a dozen initiatives this year at the Statehouse, but all failed or were stripped down.

Evan Hughes, vice president of the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, said anti-gun lobbyists may have toned down their efforts, at least financially, for this year.
