Towns stake out positions on June 7 merger vote

Waterbury Record - 2:29 pm Thu May 12th, 2016

The day of decision is just a month away: Will the six communities in the Washington West Supervisory Union decide to become a single school district?

Waterbury, Duxbury, Fayston, Moretown, Waitsfield and Warren will vote June 7 whether to move quickly to merge into one district.

Act 46 requires Vermont school districts to consider merging into larger organizations with at least 900 students, and provides significant financial incentives to merge soon.
