Judge unfreezes some assets of businessman accused of fraud

A judge in Miami has unfrozen some of the assets of a businessman accused in a massive fraud scheme involving developments in Vermont.

The Securities and Exchange Commission had frozen the assets of Ariel Quiros, owner of Jay Peak ski resort, when it accused him and the resort's president of misusing more than $200 million raised through a special visa program.

Quiros is also accused in SEC and Vermont civil complaints of misappropriating $50 million of investor funds for his personal use.
