Join the Burlington Chamber Orchestra for our last concert of the season. May 14th is the “Annual Celebration of Youth” concert, conducted by Guest Conductor Kayoko Dan from the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera. 

The 2016 winner of the BCO’s Young Artist Solo Competition, Tommy Bergeron, a 15 year old sophomore from Essex Junction, Vermont will be featured performing the first movement of Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4, K 495.

Jacob Morton-Black’s In Memoriam will also be featured as the winning composition of the 2016 Young Composer Competition. 

The program also will include Friedrich Kuhlau, Trylleharpen Overture, Op. 27 and Franz Schubert, Symphony No. 6 in C major, D. 589

BCO 2015-16

Ten years have gone by in the blink of an eye. As an orchestra, the Burlington Chamber Orchestra is entering its tenth season next fall. What started as a group of musicians wanting to bring a chamber orchestra of the highest quality to Burlington has grown into a tightly knit musical family. 

We’re excited for next season, however we’re also fully immersed in Season 9. We hope to see you on May 14th as we welcome our guest Maestra Kayoko Dan, young artist Tommy Bergeron, and young composer Jacob Morton-Black. 

Our growth over the past 10 years has brought more opportunities to connect with our community, has strengthened our already tight-knit orchestra, and, of course, has allowed us to share the gift of music.

BCS Hidden Haydn Concert

Please join them this Saturday, April 23rd, 7:30PM
at Elley-Long Music Center. 

Richard Riley, artistic director, will lead the 80-voice chorus in "Spring" and "Summer" from Joseph Haydn's The Seasons, and two shorter works: "Insanae et Vanae Curae" (Insane and stupid worries) and "Te Deum Laudamus" (We praise thee, O God). Soloists Mary Bonhag, soprano; Adam Hall, tenor; Benjamin Dickerson, baritone; members of the Burlington Chamber Orchestra; and pianist Claire Black will perform with the chorus.
